Projects : Soul Proprietors

This project emphasizes the trend towards global thinking and social awareness. This is more than just a reality TV type of experience. These are real life encounters that are making a difference in the world and the compelling stories of the people who are putting this transformation into motion.

Soul Proprietors connects you to the world of social entrepreneurs making a difference around the corner and around the country. Every event becomes a community project by using local film crews and local businesses in a race against time to create the best film short and compete for a cash prize. Soul Proprietors is equal parts travel show, competitive challenge and compelling story telling, told by people closest to the story: those who live it.

How it works: Three Social Entrepreneurs are selected at each location. They are paired with a competing local film crew through a random drawing and have just 5 days to create an engaging and entertaining short film. Members from the local community are selected for the judging panel and winners are announced at a public screening event where a $5,000 grand prize is awarded to the best film. (Note: Savannah's 2014 grand prize film went on to win a SE Emmy Award)
