This series of short, documentary-style programs focuses on Amerindian villages in Guyana--a Third World region consistently overlooked by private philanthropy, public agencies, and NGOs. The programs will highlight the region's critical need for medical, educational, and social welfare assistance.
The programs are being produced by Mickey and Annette Youmans, in association with the Educational Media Foundation. Inc., and will be donated to the Guyanese Outreach, a private non-profit organization based in the United States. Guyanese outreach works both independently and in cooperation with the Guyanese government to improve living conditions, spiritual well-being and educational opportunities of the diverse racial and ethnic populations struggling to survive in this neglected region of our world.
